Flight registration

After purchasing a ticket, you must contact us by phone to arrange the flight time.

If you only have one specific day available for the flight, we recommend calling before purchasing a ticket — this way we can immediately assess availability and register you right away.

When registering, it is important to inform us about:

  • health conditions or injuries
  • pregnancy (flying in a balloon is generally not recommended during pregnancy)
  • mobility limitations

If you have any doubts about your ability to fly, it is always best to consult a doctor first and inform the pilot. If we are aware of the situation in advance, in certain cases we can offer a flight during completely calm wind conditions (usually early in the morning).

Important: if a passenger arrives without having disclosed a health condition that could pose a risk to themselves or others, the pilot has the right to refuse them boarding — this is done for the passenger’s own safety.

Preparing for the flight

We recommend dressing according to the current weather, as the temperature remains almost the same once airborne. It may be cooler in the morning before take-off, and in the evening after landing.

Key information:

  • We are unable to wait for late arrivals. The take-off time is strictly scheduled according to weather conditions, and even a 15-minute delay can cause complications during the flight.
  • Comfortable, closed-toe footwear is essential. High heels are strictly prohibited for both your safety and the safety of the balloon.
  • Please do not bring large backpacks or extra items, as space in the basket is limited.
  • Make sure you have a safe place to store camera equipment and mobile phones during take-off and landing.
  • We recommend bringing a hat or hood, as the burners above your head emit heat.
  • We often land in meadows where the grass may be wet, so we advise wearing appropriate clothing.
  • If you bring glass containers (e.g. soft drinks), you must have a safe place to store them before landing.
  • Flying under the influence of alcohol is strictly prohibited.
During the flight

The flight is calm and smooth — apart from landing, there is virtually no jolting or turbulence. The course of the flight is always somewhat unpredictable — even the pilot does not know the exact landing spot in advance, as it depends on wind direction.

During the flight you are welcome to chat freely with the pilot — we even encourage it! Our pilots love sharing their knowledge about balloons and incredible flight stories. However, it is very important to follow the pilot’s instructions throughout the flight and allow them to concentrate during landing and any unplanned situations.

Also important:

  • Listen carefully to the pre-flight safety briefing
  • Do not touch any equipment before or during the flight
  • Remain calm and avoid disrupting the flight

In stronger wind conditions, you will need to hold on with both hands during landing, as the basket may bounce off the ground several times before coming to a complete stop. This is a perfectly safe and even very fun experience — the most important thing is to follow the pilot’s instructions!

Flight postponement due to weather conditions

Safety always comes first.

Flights do not take place in the event of:

  • strong winds
  • precipitation
  • risk of storms
  • unstable weather conditions

We monitor weather conditions continuously and respond to forecast changes in real time using precipitation radars. It is therefore important to understand that we may postpone a flight even in fair weather, if we can see that conditions may change during the flight.

In such cases, the flight is rescheduled to the nearest available day. If you are unable to attend any other flight, a full refund will be issued.

You can find more information on our page about how weather conditions affect hot air balloon flights.

How we ensure your safety

Equipment:

  • the balloon has an exceptionally robust structure
  • even in the event of damage, the balloon can descend safely
  • the basket is a reinforced metal construction with impact-absorbing finish
  • all equipment is regularly inspected and certified

Pilots:

  • hold licences and continuously develop their qualifications
  • undergo regular medical check-ups
  • participate in ongoing training

Operations:

  • we operate in accordance with European Aviation Safety requirements
  • we maintain established effective operational procedures
  • a safety briefing is conducted before every flight
Flying with children

We warmly welcome younger family members on board — tickets for children under 12 even come with a discount! However, we strongly encourage you to first make sure that the child genuinely understands how the balloon flight will work and is comfortable with the idea.

If you are unsure, or think the child might be frightened by the loud burners or the size of the balloon, we invite you to observe a launch in advance! Contact us and we will provide you with the flight location and time so you can come and see the process up close.

If you decide the child is ready for this adventure, a few rules apply:

  • children must never be lifted up during the flight
  • the child must be able to support themselves during landing
  • recommended minimum height is 130 cm (so they can easily see over the top of the basket)
  • please inform us at registration that you will be flying with a child
  • children aged 16 and over may fly unaccompanied (with written parental consent)
